Background

Scope and content:

The collection consists of 35 mm color slides of theatre performances, nearly all from the Los Angeles area from the 1950s-1970s. The photographs were taken at the Biltmore, Shrine Auditorium, the Huntington Hartford, the Music Center, the Shubert, at UCLA and some small theaters. It is believed that Edmund W. Raab photographed the performances. The slides are stored in their original boxes; the majority are unidentified, but the containers may be annotated with dates. A very small number of the slide containers are annotated with the production title, date, and theater.
