Collection includes materials related to the Children's Hospital San Francisco Nurses' Alumnae Association, including class notes, yearbooks, photographs, uniform aprons, school records, and corresponce by alumna, Ruth Steuben, as well as organizational bylaws, newsletters, photographs, correspondences, and memorabilia. Also included in the collection are correspondence, minutes, newsletters, membership lists, photograph, list of graduates, and newspaper clippings that were transferred to the archives after the Association was dissolved in 2015. The Children's Hospital San Francisco Training School for Nurses was founded in 1882 by Dr. Charlotte Brown. It was the first formal two-year training program for nurses in San Francisco.
