- Scope and content:

Pictures relating to California, mainly San Francisco Bay Area history, include: views of 1906 earthquake, interior of I.W. Taber photographic studio, Woodward's Gardens, portraits, and various scenes. Collection includes photographic prints, negatives, postcards, photomechanical prints and ephemera. Also present are two daguerreotype portraits, one encased and embossed "E. Long," [Enoch Long?] and the other, in poor condition, mounted on a piece of paper with penciled note "Expresses--Western." Also included are two tintype portraits and one photograph of Black Bart.
