The Paul Henreid papers span the years 1934-1987 (bulk 1941-1974) and encompass 26 linear feet. The collection includes scripts, correspondence, scrapbooks, and photographs. The photograph series consists of 3,273 items, including prints, contact sheets, snapshots, postcards, 35mm motion picture film frames, and copy negatives. The photographs are all motion picture production photographs from 38 films Henreid appeared in and/or directed.

Biographical / historical:

Paul Henreid was an Italian-born actor and director. His career as an actor spanned 1933 to 1977. He emigrated to the United States in 1940. He is best known for his roles in NOW VOYAGER (1942) and CASABLANCA (1943). In the 1950s and 1960s Henreid directed films and television.
