A collection of packets of paper samples from a variety of sources and materials, plus catalogs, thread shade cards, and price lists, ranging between about 1974 and 2006.

Biographical / historical:

Jack C. Thompson began running the Thompson Conservation Lab in Portland, Oregon, in the early 1980s. He is a noted expert in book and paper conservation and restoration, as well as skilled in papermaking, marbling, and bookbinding.
