James Stark is a photographer who was involved in the early punk scene in San Francisco. His photos have been published in New York Rocker, Search & Destroy and Slash, among others.
His book, Punk '77 : an inside look at the San Francisco rock 'n' roll scene, covers the San Francisco Punk Rock scene from its beginnings in 1977, to the Sex Pistols concert at Winterland a year later, in photos and interviews with people who were on the scene.
