- The collection consists of materials related to Nuevas Fronteras/New Frontiers, an interdisciplinary, bilingual early learning curriculum developed by Barbara Goffigan Cox, Janet Macaulay, and Manuel Ramirez III and published in 1982. The curriculum was based on the Culturally Democratic Learning Environments (CDLE) model, which was a model developed in part at UC Riverside and focused on bilingual and bicultural education for grades K-3.
