Collection comprises research notes; course files; files and binders documenting the work of the Charles B. Harris group; research proposals; publications; papers from symposiums and conferences; journals (1977-1989); photographs; and video cassettes (VHS) of Chemistry 1A course (1989).
- Biographical / historical:

Charles B. Harris was born on April 24, 1940. Harris joined UC Berkeley's Department of Chemistry in 1967, became Chair of the Department of Chemistry in 2003, and served as Dean of the College of Chemistry from 2004-2007. He also was a faculty scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He retired in 2015 and died in 2020.
