Background

Scope and content:

This collection consists of a folder of black and white snapshots, some annotated on the reverse; as well as a membership card; a handmade personal card; and a typed and handmade book of poetry by Gussie Osbrone entitled “Poems for Bobbie.” Photos feature individuals, pairs, and groups, both indoors and outdoors. A series of photos depicts several men playing outdoors in the nude. Another series of photos features a figure playing with their penis while wearing a dress. A note in the collection file indicates that the photos come from “Two (or more) scrapbooks” and were donated by Trent Dunphy and Bob Mainardi of The Magazine in San Francisco.
