Scope and content:

Photographs, negatives. Washburn was an inspector for the gas and electric company in Los Angeles; some photos document the company's work. Collection includes Los Angeles Chinatown photos, ca.1902-05, significant because they feature the Chinese inhabitants; other photographers at the time did not photograph this group.
