The collection includes two class photographs of the Hawthorne School in Oakland, California taken in 1922 and 1924, and also a photograph of Captain Roger Romaine, a Tuskegee Airman and member of the 99th Fighter Squadron during World War II. There is also manuscript on the genealogy of the Allen family written by Ruth Strange in 1990.
