The collection contains sixteen images in various sizes, including cartes-de-visite, cabinet cards, tintypes, and a large albumen print. It exemplifies the extent to which early photography was used for family portraiture.

Biographical / historical:

The photographs document the extended family of Annis Ketcheson (1811-1901) and her husband David T. Reed (1807-1902).

Acquisition information:
The photographs were donated by Helen Freeland and accessioned into the permanent collection in 1992.
