Background

Scope and content:

This collection contains radio scripts for American radio programs dating from the 1930s to 1950s, including a number of scripts written by American radio and television writer Edward J. Adamson (died 1972). There are also some additional files reflecting Adamson's other projects (Box 40).

There are scripts for nearly fifty programs, with larger runs of Bulldog Drummond (1940s), Cavalcade of America (1941-1947), the Chase and Sanborn Hour (1937-1939), Counter-Spy (1947-1957), The FBI in Peace and War (1956-1958), Inner Sanctum (1940s), International Airport (1949-1951), Sear's Mid-Morning Matinee (1938-1939), and That Hammer Guy (1953-1954). There are unsorted scripts for miscellaneous single episodes in Box 41.
