This collection is comprised of the Permanente Wives' Group constitution and by-laws (1970, 1976), a calendar of events (1977), a list of services provided by members of the group, and invitations to annual functions like the Christmas Dinner Dance and Valentine Tea. All invitations are addressed to Dr. C. E. and Barbara Pennington.

The Sacramento Permanente Wives' Group formed in 1970 as a social and service organization in support of Permanente Medical Group and the Kaiser Foundation Hospitals. Its members were initially comprised of the wives of Permanente Medical Group physicians. In the early-1980s, the group rebranded as the Permanente Medical Auxiliary.
