Scope and content:

The Dennis Saxman papers contain materials related to LGBT legal associations in San Francisco. Saxman, an attorney, was a member of most of these groups. Organizations represented include Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom, Hastings Gay and Lesbian Alumni, National Lesbian and Gay Students Association, and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel. The bulk of the papers come from the Committee on Gay and Lesbian Issues of the San Francisco Bar Association and deal with promoting diversity and preventing discrimination. Materials include announcements, correspondence, meeting minutes, memos, membership lists, reports, Bar Association surveys, and retreat materials.
