Houchang Esfandiar Chehabi is an Iranian-German professor and scholar of Iranian studies. The collection is composed of posters of the Iranian revolutionaries, an account of the life of Abbās Sheybāni, a letter to Houchang Chehabi from Ahmad Alibābāi, party proclamations, election flyers, and other ephemera.

Background

Scope and content:

The collection is composed of four color posters of the Iranian revolutionaries; one hand-written account of the life of Abbās Sheybāni, a major figure of the revolution, dictated by his older brother; one hand-written letter to Houchang Chehabi from Ahmad Alibābāi, an early revolutionary who was exiled by Khomeini, sent from France; two party proclamations; four election flyers promoting candidates; and other ephemera.
