Abstract:
Houchang Esfandiar Chehabi is an Iranian-German professor and scholar of Iranian studies. The collection is composed of posters of the Iranian revolutionaries, an account of the life of Abbās Sheybāni, a letter to Houchang Chehabi from Ahmad Alibābāi, party proclamations, election flyers, and other ephemera.

Background

Scope and content:

The collection includes Iranian and Italian posters (some related to Iranian revolutionaries); a handwritten account of the life of Abbās Sheybāni, a prominent figure in the Iranian Revolution, dictated by his older brother; a handwritten letter sent from France by Ahmad Alibābāi, an early revolutionary exiled by Khomeini, to Houchang Chehabi; as well as correspondence, photographs, pamphlets, party proclamations, election flyers, and other ephemera.
