A collection of 56 black and white snapshot photographs of the islands of Kauai and Oahu, Hawaii, approximately 1910. The photographs are mounted to heavy papers and feature Native Hawaiians, Chinese and Japanese laborers, landscape views, and agriculture such as rice fields, sugarcane, and a pineapple plantation. One handwritten caption refers to the visitors camping in the mountains of Kauai at "Mr. Gay's" during Halley's Comet. Images of Honolulu include Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, Iolani Palace, and Waikiki. There are also group photographs of travelers onboard the SS Mongolia and SS Wilhelmina.
This collection contains 56 black and white photographs that depict the islands of Kaua'i and O'ahu. The images of Kaua'i feature Native Hawaiians, Chinese and Japanese laborers, scenic views, and agriculture such as rice fields and a pineapple plantation. Approximately 10 photographs feature the Honolulu area of O'ahu and include images of Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, 'Iolani Palace, and Waikiki. Other photographs depict passengers and the facilities onboard the SS Wilhelmina.
