Scope and content:

Collection consists of musical scores for NBC television programs Highway to Heaven (1984-1989), Little House on the Prairie (1974-1983), and Father Murphy (1981-1983) by American composer David Rose (1910-1990). Collection is made up of ½ in. reel-to-reel magnetic tapes of scores and written sheet music.

Biographical / historical:

David Rose (1910-1990) was an American composer for film, television, and Broadway, whose career spanned from 1939 to 1990. Rose won 4 Emmys for his music on the NBC programs Little House on the Prairie (1979,1982), Bonanza (1971), and An Evening with Fred Astaire (1959).
