Roy Huggins (1914-2002) was an American novelist and blacklisted television writer and producer known for his production company
Roy Huggins - Public Arts Productions' work on Maverick (1957-1962), The Fugitive (1963-1967), and The Rockford Files (1974-1980). Huggins became a noted writer and producer under his own name, but due to his involvement with the Communist
party and investigation by the House Un-American Activities Committee much of his later television script writing was done
using the pseudonyms Thomas Fitzroy, John Thomas James, or John Francis O'Mara.
