Photocopies of diary contain almost daily entries from 1895 to 1916. Ms. Burrell documented her every day activities as a nurse in San Francisco and her personal day to day.

M. Alice Burrell (1856-1916), attended the Training School for Nurses at Childrens Hospital, San Francisco.

Acquisition information:

The diary is a photocopy of the original, donated by Patricia J. Schindler and Gail Burrell O'Donnell in 1981.
