Background

Scope and content:

Donated to the LMU's Department of Archives and Special Collections by John Wholihan, former dean of the Hilton School of Business here, this small collection consists of materials on World War II, including newspaper clippings, mostly from Detroit-area newspapers; pamphlets, and oddities such as the fabric from the shell of a Japanese sea plane. Based on the materials in the collection, a Philip E. Schmansky (1893-1965) probably collected these materials.
