Scope and content:

This collection contains the papers of actress Betty Harte (1883-1965), including original short stories written by Harte, photographs and stills, posters, and two small scrapbooks containing clippings related to Harte's career as an actress with Selig Polyscope Co. (1909-1916).

Biographical / historical:

Betty Harte (1882–1965) was a leading actress during the heyday of the silent film era. Harte starred in nine feature films and 108 short films during her career. Harte wrote four screenplays.
