Alcoa Steamship Company records (SAFR 17502, HDC 353) contains five deck log books of the ALCOA PIONEER (built 1941, freighter) dating between 1952 to 1963; one engine log from ALCOA PEGASUS (freighter) dating from 1961; and one promotional brochure for the Alcoa Steamship Company from 1983. Deck log book from ALCOA PIONEER (built 1941, freighter) voyage number 71 (September 23, 1952-November 2, 1952). Voyage from Mobile, Alabama, stopping at several East Coast ports, to the Caribbean and return. Commanded by Joseph J. O'Keefe. Contains a crew list.

Deck log book from ALCOA PIONEER (built 1941, freighter) voyage number 166 (June 25, 1962-July 27, 1962). Voyage from Pacific Northwest ports to East Coast ports, ending in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Commanded by S.T. Sorensen. Contains a crew list.

Three deck log books from ALCOA PIONEER (built 1941, freighter) voyage number 168 (November 22, 1962-March 17, 1963). Voyage from New York to East Asia (Japan and Korea) via the U.S. West Coast (San Francisco and Oakland) and Hawaii, and return trip (ending in Houston, Texas). Commanded by S.T. Sorensen. Contains a crew list.

Engine department log book from ALCOA PEGASUS (freighter) voyage number 131 (part 2), from September 8, 1961-November 19, 1961, and voyage 132 from November 19, 1961-December 9, 1961.
