Scope and content:

Photographs collected by members of the Theodore Roosevelt Camp #9 primarily pertaining to the Spanish-American War; the daily life and customs in the Philippines; and the Philippine Insurrection. Also a small portion of images of China and the Boxer Rebellion; Japan; the Hawaiian Islands; Cuba; Fort Snelling (Minn.) and the San Francisco Presidio. Biographical / historical:

Theodore Roosevelt Camp #9 was a Los Angeles area group formed out of the national United Spanish War Veterans. Membership was open to soldiers who served during the Spanish-American War, the Philippines Insurrection and the China Boxer Rebellion.
