Background

Scope and content:

116 digitized images of the original report outlining the transportation plan for the invasion.

Biographical / historical:

The invasion of Normandy (Operation Overlord) took place on June 6, 1944. It was the largest amphibious invasion in history, and would not have been possible without a monumental coordination of logistical resources. This document lays the ground work for that effort.

The materials in this Collection were donated to the San Diego Air and Space Museum.
