Description
Elizabeth Byron was a New York based journalist and editor in the field of art and architecture and a great-great-grandchild of Alexander II of Russia. Includes family correspondence, genealogical material regarding the Russian imperial family, photographs, portraits, miniatures, and a Decembrist ring belonging to Prince Sergei Petrovich Trubetskoy.
Background
Byron was born Elizaveta Vladimirovna Sverbeyeva (August 28, 1923) in Berlin. She was also known as Elizabeth Sverbeyeff Byron and was a great-great-grandchild of Alexander II of Russia. Byron was a New York-based journalist and editor in the field of art and architecture. She died April 1, 2020.
