Scope and content:

The scrapbook contains organizational materials, photographs, badges, pins, flyers, and clippings that document the Golden Gate Troopers, a uniform club. In addition there is a program for the "San Francisco GDI Club" and an "Acme Man '75" souvenir program.

Biographical / historical:

The Golden Gate Troopers was a uniform club that was established in 1982. Larry Marr, Johnny Clifton, and Bill Myers were early members. The group celebrated uniforms and leather attire.

Restrictions:

Open for research. The collection is offsite and advance notice is required for retrieval. Material must be requested at least 4 business days in advance of visit. The collection is available for use during San Francisco History Center hours. Photographs are available during Photo Desk hours.

Terms of access:

All requests for permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the City Archivist. Permission for publication is given on behalf of the San Francisco Public Library as the owner of the physical items.
