Scope and content:: The San José State University Student Involvement Records consists of materials relating to the programs that fall under student involvement. Items in this collection include committee reports, guidebooks, handbooks, and directories from the Activities Office; campus activities and events advertisements; information on fraternities and sororities, councils, and numerous photos related to Greek life; Leadership Today information and photos; a scrapbook from the Student Life Center; and handbooks for the Spartan Spear student organization.
Biographical / historical:: San José State University Student Involvement encompasses a large range of student programs that look to enrich students' lives. Their goal is to have students connect with the campus community, get involved in campus life, and prepare them for leadership roles. Programs that fall under student involvement are the Greek system, student organizations, leadership development, and the welcome weeks at the beginning of each semester. Student Involvment is a part of the Division of Student Affairs.
