Biographical / historical:

The Society for Pentecostal Studies (SPS) is a scholarly association devoted to the academic study of the Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements and related traditions. Fuller Seminary is designated as the official depository of the society. Holdings include administrative papers, financial ledgers, and correspondence related to the society's journal, "Pneuma", and its newsletter. SPS grew out of conversations over dinner at the Ninth Pentecostal World Conference in 1970. It was organized to address the theological and historiographical needs of Pentecostal pastors, teachers and scholars.
