Background

Scope and content:

The student newspaper collection contains student authored and edited newspapers from Dominican University of California, then known as Dominican College. The various student newspapers of the Carillon and Metamorphosis were a student run publication that spanned from the mid-1940s to the mid-1970s. These four decades of student press, amongst many things, mark Dominican College's incredible journey as an all women's Dominican Catholic private college to a lay(non religious) co-education institution. Various supplemental publications are also included which take the form of "interim" editions.
