Scope and content:: Ellen Meyers was a board member of the Gay and Lesbian Historical Society of Northern California (known as the GLBT Historical Society as of December 2024). The collection includes materials related to four Society exhibitions: “Crossing the Line: An Exhibition of Gender Transgressions” (1993); “On the Edge of Revolt: San Francisco Lesbians and Gay Men Before Stonewall” (1994); a photography exhibition featuring work by Cathy Cade and Daniel Nicoletta (1995); and “The Lesbian Erotic: Pictures from 1975-1995” (1996). Also include are material related to Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual History Month 1995 and a response by the Society’s board to a 1995 article in the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
