Strategic Marketing and Communications, Brand Identity and Visual Strategy records contains two CD binders with digital photographs pertaining to Chapman University events, faculty, athletics, and marketing materials. Digital images and files from the binders have been processed and are in the digital archives.
Also included in this collection are additional materials transferred to the archives which includes 686 DVDs, 7 CDs, 7 VHS cassette tapes, and 39 discs (unknown format).

Per Chapman University's Strategic Marketing and Communications webpage:
"Strategic Marketing & Communications (SMC) is Chapman University's award-winning, full-service marketing department. Working with key campus partners, we are responsible for the development and execution of integrated marketing and communication plans that strengthen and support the University's brand, reputation and strategic vision."
Brand Identity and Visual Strategy began as the Publications and Creative Services department at Chapman University in 2007. In 2010, the department moved under the University Advancement unit until the creation of the Strategic Marketing and Communications department, a subunit within University Advancement, in 2011. The office was known as Creative Services until, in 2023, Creative Services updated its name to Brand Identity and Visual Strategy. The Brand Identity and Visual Strategy office is currently part of the Strategic Marketing and Communications team at Chapman University.
