This collection contains personal photograph albums and scrapbooks compiled by longtime San Francisco, Potrero Hill resident Ramon Contreras. Originally from Los Angeles, Contreras (1942-2000) moved to San Francisco in the late 1960s or early 1970s and worked as a court clerk. There are personal photos of close friends, family, parties and camping trips to the Russian River; notes, postcards and a small amount of correspondence; invitations to parties and ephemera. The scrapbooks also contain materials belonging to Contrerasโ lover of 10 years, John Fred Boyer, who died in 1991.
