This collection contains one small photograph album, containing 36 photographs of Samoa at the turn of the twentieth century contained on black paper.
From dealer's description:
Philippines Photograph Album,ca. 1901. Album contains 36 black and white 4.5x6.25 in. photographs of a trip to the Philippines with brief handwritten captions. Photos are primarily of Manila and Old Manila, featuring the Parian Gate, churches and cathedrals such as San Sebastian, moats, bridges, canals, walks, rivers, water buffalo, thatched shacks, Malacon Drive, Magellan's Monument, and the Queen Isabella Gate. Other images include ships in Honolulu harbor; young boys with leprosy; docks, Navy Yard in Cavite; statue of Queen Isabella; ships; market, dock, and beach scenes; Chinese workers; Moro "sham" fights. Some pages have come loose from the cover.
