Abstract:

This collection contains scrapbooks of UCI Summer Research Program (SURF), publications including UCI Graduate Quarterly (2002-2007) and Graduate Voice (1992-2002), graduate advisor handbooks, photographs, and brochures and pamphlets. There are also video tapes documenting the summer research program, and DVDs of graduate commencement ceremonies and graduate division symposiums. An additional accretion was part of the records of Frederic Wan, vice chancellor of the Division from 1995-2000. This material documents activities within the Division, Wan's work with the Asian American Studies Dept., strategic planning, and rankings. It contains handbooks, committee files, policies, reports, topical files, speeches, correspondence and publications.
