Scope and Content of Collection: The collection, as donated to the Society of Architectural Historians consists of 22 carousels of 35mm color slides photographed and organized by John Stec with accompanying indexes also handwritten by Mr. Stec. The images in the collection were all photographed by John Stec during his travels of following city and regions in North America: New Orleans, Seattle, Las Vegas, Utah, Jackson (Wyoming), National Parks including Capitol Reef, Arches, Panguitch, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Zion, Lake Tahoe, Bryce Canyon, Mexico City, and in Europe: London, Milan, Florence, Vienna, Salzburg, the Black Forest, and Zurich. The slide materials and the written indexes have since been removed from their carousels, cleaned and transferred to archival housing. Eight carousels remain yet unprocessed.
