Personal materials from James Mita's time serving in the 442nd RCT in Company F. There are also materials from his post-war life serving on the Go For Broke National Education Center board. There is a panoramic of James' training group, Company B 208th Infantry Training Battalion, 64th Training Regiment, at Camp Blanding in Florida. There is also a training manual, IRTC I am a Doughboy with autographs at the end with James' fellow trainees. The bulk of the collection is post-World War II material as James was active in the veteran reunion community as well as the early days of Go For Broke National Education Center.

James Koji Mita was born in 1923 in Oregon. He enlisted in the Army in 1944 and trained at Camp Blanding in Florida with the Company B 208th Infantry Training Battalion, 64th Training Regiment, where he went on to join F Company in the 2nd Battalion of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. After the war he became involved with veteran organizations and went on to be on the founding board at Go For Broke National Education Center.
