Collection includes photographs, ephemera, oversize sketches and sketchbooks, papers, artifacts, and original works of art by San Francisco artist, dancer, and leather community activist, Charles "Chuck" Arnett (1928-1988). Works of art include: a pastel abstract figure with arm & fist (163' x 222') fisting, “Dildo, In Memory of Kerry Bowman,” two smaller, unmounted, watercolors (102' x 14' each) featuring male figures skateboarding, “Skateboarders,” 1 day-glo painting by Chuck Arnett titled 'Enjoy' (48 in. h x 34 in. w), circa 1970; peace symbol painting; portrait painting of John Bix. Papers include “Arnett Scrapbook with Autobiographical Notes by Mike Caffee,” and 33 “Moon Signs” used to tell bar patrons the current astrological location of the moon.
