Biographical / historical:

With her husband, Richard β€œDick” Hughes Barratt (Aug. 1936-), Elizabeth Barratt (Mar. 28, 1943-) owned the Studio Theatre Restaurant ca. 1982 – 1986. The Studio Theatre Restaurant was a popular performance venue and restaurant in Carmel, on Dolores between Ocean Avenue and 7th. It opened in 1957 strictly as a theater space, and added kitchen facilities in 1962 to convert it into a dinner theater. The Studio Theatre operated successfully until the late 1980s, when rising costs led to its closure on January 1, 1987.
