    Abstract: John B. Forrest Jr. was born on August 10, 1936. As a child, he joined the Boy Scouts of America and remained active in scouting throughout his life.     Processing Information

    Biographical Note

    John B. Forrest Jr. was born on August 10, 1936. As a child, he joined the Boy Scouts of America and remained active in scouting throughout his life. Forrest attended MIT; he graduated in 1958 and later received a master's degree in Political Science in 1969. He also served in the United States Army from 1961-1977 and completed five tours in Vietnam. While there, Forrest was in charge of the US government's Scouting Project office and organized Scouting units throughout South Vietnam. He also aided in the transition of the unofficial "Scouting Service Exchange" into the Ceremonial Advisory Group (CAG), which was a think-tank working directly under the National OA Committee's Subcommittee on Ceremonies.
