Biographical / historical:

Mennonite Brethren Missions/Services work in Indonesia began in 1973. In that year the board agreed to enter into a cooperative arrangement with the Yayasan Pengutusan Injil & Pelayanan Kasih Synode Muria (PIPKA), the mission board of the Muria Christian Churches of Indonesia. The Muria Synod is an outgrowth of Dutch Mennonite mission efforts in Indonesia beginning in the nineteenth century.
