Biographical / historical:

Arthur Henry Fleming (1856-1940) was a lumber magnate, philanthropist, and member of the California Institute of Technology Board of Trustees. Fleming was a major benefactor to Caltech, largely responsible for raising funds for Throop Hall, and the chief financial source of funds during the early years of the institute.
