Scope and content:: Primarily account books, most belonging to Charles J. Wade of Boston, ca. 1872-1909. Also an account book with the name Mary E. Howard written in, 1876. Several diaries, including a travel account from 1909 which records a trip beginning in L.A. and continuing to Europe. Several prayer books and some ephemeral items. ca. 1872-1919.
Biographical / historical:: Account and diary entries reveal that Wade was living in the Boston area; latest item indicates that Mabel Wade (relationship unknown but possibly daughter of Charles) was living in Hollywood, California in 1919.
