As an activist, Que Hee participated in a number of progressive organizations including Lesbian/Gay Academic Union, Cincinnati Coalition Against Apartheid, and Cincinnati Gay/Lesbian March Activists. He worked as an Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Cincinnati from 1978 to 1989.
