Scope and content:

This collection contains items from the relationship and commitment/wedding ceremony between AIDS activists Sean Sasser (1968-2013) and Pedro Zamora (1972-1994). Includes Pedro and Sean’s wedding bands and wedding book; photographs and a photo collage of them and their friends, miscellaneous negatives and contact sheets; an advance copy of “Pedro and Me” by Judd Winick; a personal card from Pedro to Sean; a few posters and documents surrounding Zamora’s AIDS activism, his death and his memorial service; and videotapes of a benefit for Zamora and his address to the National Commission on AIDS. Sasser and Zamora’s relationship was a focal point on MTV’s “Real World: San Francisco” in 1994 and their commitment ceremony was featured on the show.
