Scope and content:: The collection consists of 110 letters from Walter Savage Landor; 95 are to his sister, Elizabeth Landor, and 15 are to his niece, Sophy Landor. There are also 35 letters from Elizabeth Landor to Walter Savage Landor and three from Sophy Landor to Walter Savage Landor. The collection also contains correspondence to and from Sophy Landor and others (98 pieces) about the affairs of Walter Savage Landor from 1858 and after. There are also a few manuscripts, and press clippings of Landor's poems and about the libel case, Yescombe v. Landor in 1858.
