Abstract:
Dirk Visser Discharge book (SAFR 14293, HDC 85) consists of one certificate and discharge employment service bureau book, issued under the authority of the Pacific American Steamship Association and the Shipowner's Association of the Pacific Coast. Records the seaman's service (ships, dates, companies) and the reason for discharge as well as personal information. Book begins in 1924 and ends in 1934. The first entry is of note. From May 20 to August 30 1924, Visser served aboard the WAPAMA as an Able Bodied Seaman under Captain O. Bellesen. This collection has been processed and is open for use without restriction.
