Series contains environmental impact reports authored by UCLA throughout a 30-year period of campus development planning, the bulk of which were produced around the late 1970s/early 1980s and later around the year 2000. Also included are research materials compiled, authored, and commissioned by the university in the process of creating environmental impact reports.

Series contains correspondence created throughout several periods of conflict between UCLA and the Westwood Hills Property Owners Association over campus development, including letters to and from university chancellor Charles E. Young and legal documents pertaining to motions made against UCLA.

Contents include correspondence between the Westwood Hills Property Owners Association and UCLA administration throughout the seventies, eighties, and nineties; letters to and from Westwood Community Planning Council president Richard D.
