Background

Scope and content:

The letters, written on Association letterhead featuring an image of Rear Admiral John Drake Sloat, concern the Association's book on the life of Sloat ; arrival of monument base stones in Monterey; contention with the Monterey delegation, Ketcham's letter published in the book, etc. One letter, inviting Ketcham, to participate in an Admission Day Parade, is on Associated Veterans Of the Mexican War, 1846-1848, letterhead stationary.
