The Vincent "Frank" Chavez Photograph Album (1940-1980) contains one photograph album belonging to Vincent "Frank" Chavez, a Mexican American Marine from Cloverfield, California who served in Vietnam. Included in this album are images of Chavez and presumably his family and friends; images taken at Camp Pendleton and Vietnam; images of marines and military equipment; and images taken on the U.S.S Paul Revere. Also included in this album are clippings regarding a veterans protest of Rambo and missing POWs in Vietnam; greeting cards; a poem written by Chavez regarding his time in Vietnam; headshots of actors and stuntmen; comic strips, cartoons, and drawings, and other ephemera.

Vincent "Frank" Chavez (1949-2011) born on December 1, 1949 in Los Angeles, California was a Mexican-American Marine from Cloverfield, California who served in the Vietnam war. While serving as a Marine with the Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 26th regiment, Lima Company, Chavez was involved in Operation Oklahoma Hills. During this operation, Chavez, under heavy fire and disreagrd for his own safety, retrieved the platoon commander Liuetenant Ronald Rossini. This act of valor earned him the Bronze Star with Combat V.
